Terms of use
Updated 7 October 2026.
License and operator
Maal is licensed through the App Store under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a different valid agreement is presented with the app. Read the agreement at the link below.
Maal is operated by Ahmed Mohammed Fawzy, an independent developer in Egypt. These terms do not remove rights that applicable law gives you.
A tool for your records
Maal helps you record and understand your finances. Its figures depend on the records, dates, currencies, prices, and exchange rates available to it. Review your entries and keep your own backups.
Reports, projections, and zakat calculations are information to support your own decisions. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, or religious advice. A zakat estimate is not a religious ruling.
Subscriptions and purchases
Individual and Family subscriptions are offered monthly or yearly with the same app features. Family changes eligible subscription access through Apple Family Sharing, not ownership or sharing of ledger data.
Apple shows the applicable price, currency, billing period, and renewal terms before you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple. Manage, cancel, or request a refund using Apple’s services. No free trial is offered under the current release policy.
A subscription ending does not erase your ledger. iCloud sync, backup, and export remain available. Availability of other actions follows your entitlement and the released app.
Your data and Apple services
You are responsible for the information you enter and for the backups and exports you keep. Read the privacy policy for storage, iCloud, optional system integrations, and deletion.
Apple Account, iCloud, App Store, and device requirements also apply. The release scope for Mac, iPhone, iPad and any integration-specific requirements must be verified against the shipped build.
Support and changes
Use the contact form for help. Billing and refund decisions are handled by Apple under its applicable terms.
The final terms must identify the operator and complete legal review before publication. Any later changes will be reflected in the date on this page.
